Former Iraqi MP Ayad Jamal Al-Din: Trump a Fool and a Liar; Saudi Arabia Will Oppose a Kurdish State

Source: NRT TV (Iraqi Kurdistan)

Former Iraqi MP Ayad Jamal Al-Din said that U.S. President Trump had lied about tearing up the nuclear deal with Iran and about fighting the Muslim Brotherhood, and said sarcastically that he had portrayed Wahhabism as a "dove of peace." He predicted that "that fool" Trump would be held accountable by the American people and would lose the next elections. In the interview, which aired on June 5 on the Iraqi Kurdistan NRT TV channel, Jamal Al-Din compared Iran to the Soviet Union, saying that when the Soviet Union collapsed, its followers had collapsed with it and that the same thing would happen to those involved with the Iranian regime.

Ayad Jamal Al-Din: "Trump lied, and he is still lying. He lied extensively in his elections campaign. Politicians usually lie, but not to such an extent... He had said that on his first day in office he would tear up the nuclear agreement, but he lied. He did not tear it up, and he will not do so. He said that he would fight the Muslim Brotherhood – another lie. Jordan and Morocco support the Muslim Brotherhood and Turkey is ruled by the Muslim Brotherhood. These three are major allies of America in the region, so that is another promise on which he reneged. As for Wahhabism – it became a dove of peace. It resembles Buddhism now. They do not hurt anyone. That fool Trump has begun to promote Wahhabism now, by saying that King Salman fights terrorism. Salman fights terrorism and produces it at the same time. How can he fight ISIS when his mosques, his schools and his media produce ISIS?

"The American nation will hold Trump accountable for his lies. This is a vibrant nation, not one where people chant: We will sacrifice our soul and blood to the leader. Mark my words, Trump will lose the next elections. I am 100% sure of that. He will never win, no matter what.

"Iran is using the Shiites of Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Lebanon, just as it is using Hamas and others to serve its schemes. Iran wants to be the leader of the Sunni world as well, and its only way to get to the Sunnis is through the Palestinian cause. This is why they adhere to it. They want to sacrifice the Shiites on the altar of their aspirations. They aspire to be a nuclear state, a superpower, and so on. Therefore, the people who tie themselves to Iran are like those who tied themselves to the U.S.S.R. in the past – they were victims of the Soviet aspirations. When the USSR collapsed, all its subsidiaries collapsed with it – in Eastern Europe, Africa, Latin America and so on. The Iranian regime will also collapse, and all those who are tied to it will go down too.

"A day after the establishment of a Kurdish mini-state in northern Iraq, a Shiite mini-state will be established in the oil-rich eastern province of Saudi Arabia. Therefore, Saudi Arabia will oppose the aspirations of Masoud [Barzani]. All the Arab states will oppose it too, because it is like opening a Pandora's box. It will encourage the Shiites in southern Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia to establish a state, which will become the biggest oil state [in the region]."
