Former British MP George Galloway said in a video posted on his YouTube channel on December 14, 2024 that the part of his life in which he fought for the Arabs and with the Arabs is over. He said: "The Arabs are a lost cause, frankly." In a December 15, 2024 video he said that he is washing his hands off the "slave Arabs," and tearfully added that he cannot fathom how, at a time when the "Arab world is being looted, people would rather suck the boots of the imperial owner of their resources than associate with a Muslim who prays differently." Maram Susli, who goes by "Syrian Girl" on social media, and was introduced by Galloway as an Australian geopolitical analyst, agreed with Galloway, saying that "all of these people" would rather kill Shiites than fight Israel. She called them "Muslim Zionists," who want to steal Syrian land. She said that the majority of Arabs have betrayed Syrian on behalf of Israel and only the Houthis and Iraqis have come to their help.
George Galloway: "I feel that that part of my life, fighting for the Arabs, with the Arabs, behind the Arabs, alongside them, I feel that that period has now ended.

Maram Susli: "I just want to say George I did hear what you have to say. You're absolutely right about everything you've said. I mean there's people inside, you know, Syria as well that are thinking: 'What is the point of supporting this when you have the'... you know some of these people are essentially attacking themselves and benefitting Israel. Over the last thirteen months, we've witnessed the most horrific genocide in history, perpetrated by Israel on Gaza. And all of these people – and a Sunni I say this – all of these people would rather kill Shiites than do anything to stop Israel from committing that genocide. And it's disgusting, it is absolutely disgusting.
