Fatah secretary in Lebanon Fathi Abu Al-Ardat discussed the invasion of southern Israel by Hamas on an October 9, 2023 show on Falestinona TV (Fatah-Lebanon), saying that the real unity between Palestinian factions is on the battle ground. He continued to say that the Al-Qassam Brigades (the military wing of Hamas), the Al-Aqsa Brigades (the military wing of Fatah), and the Al-Quds Brigades (the military wing of Palestinian Islamic Jihad) all participated in the invasion, which he described as "exalted resistance."

Al-Ardat: "Today we are witnessing Palestinian unity on the ground in which all [the factions] take part. This is the embodiment of the underlying principles we have always declared – that real unity is unity on the battle ground. Now, this unity manifests itself in confronting the occupation. All the factions of the Palestinian people are fighting today, shoulder to shoulder, in the [Israeli] settlements.

“We were the first to raise the slogan of armed resistance. Armed struggle is the only way to liberate Palestine.

“What we have witnessed today in Gaza is exalted resistance – planning and carrying out this heroic attack in complete secrecy on the land of Palestine. All the Palestinian factions participated in the attack – the Al-Qassam Brigades, the Al-Aqsa Brigades, and the Al-Quds Brigades.

"Our immutable position is that all the guns are pointed at the Zionist enemy. The battle today embodies that principle. All the guns are pointed at the Zionist enemy."
