Faraeen TV: The Egyptian-Algerian Soccer Riots Were an Israeli-Iranian Conspiracy

The following are excerpts from a TV address given by Tawfiq Okasha, the owner of Al-Faraeen TV, which aired on Al-Faraeen TV on November 22, 2009.

Tawfiq Okasha: The [Algerians] treated [the Egypt-Algeria soccer match] as if it were a matter of life and death whether they would make the World Cup finals or not. This was a cover for forceful political activities, which had several players.

The first was Iran, which plays an enormous role in this. Let me repeat – the Iran that dreams of a Persian empire, the Iran that wants to realize the dream of the Persian empire. Oh Iran, how can you possibly dream of a Persian empire, when the per capita income of Iranians within Iran has significantly dropped?

That's one thing. The second is Israel, which wanted to embark upon a secret economic battle with Egypt, by dealing a blow to Egyptian investments, which are estimated at six billion dollars. We have a peace accord with Israel. That's all well and good, but this is an accord of peace, not of fighting. There are other types of war. We live in the days of economic wars. Economic wars are the most lethal when it comes to the peoples. Israel wanted... and I reiterate, Israel wanted to play a role, by means of its agents who have a powerful presence in Algeria, to exploit this soccer match, and to turn it from a match between two brotherly Arab countries into a war on a green field between two hostile countries.

How do the Israelis play? The Israelis have always been experts when it comes to the media. I must say, with all honesty, that I bow in respect to the media philosophy, because this philosophy is well thought out. I have participated in media courses with them, and I have seen their professional abilities in this field. They are our enemies, but we have to respect them, because they are respected and very professional in this field. They have managed to invade the Algerian media in their well-known, indirect ways.

[...]

Of course, everything I am telling you is heavily documented and has evidence. The third partner is Qatar's Al-Jazeera TV, which also played a significant role in this, in an effort to fan the flames of strife, and to add fuel to the fire that consumes all that is before it – friendship, history, brotherhood, and pan-Arabism. That's Al-Jazeera TV for you.

Okay. Who is capable of controlling the global media machine? I would like to know if there is a single Arab country capable of controlling the global media machine. There is none – not Egypt, not Qatar, and not Saudi Arabia. Not a single Arab country could have such control – not even Algeria itself.

So how was such control accomplished? It was gained by passing contradictory documents to the global media, which is owned by the Jews. Take note of this – the international news agencies, the leading newspapers, and the major media institutions and channels in all countries of Europe, North America, and South America are controlled by Jewish capital. It was Jewish capital that incited to this. This was done in order to portray Egypt as an aggressive country, which treats this match as a war.
