Egyptian Terrorists Tell of Their Slaughters in Iraq

The following are excerpts from the interrogation of two Egyptian terrorists who were captured in Iraq. Al-Fayhaa TV aired these interrogations on March 31, 2005.

Interviewer: Your name?

Muhammad Ramadhan: Muhammad Samir Muhammad Ramadhan.

Interviewer: Where are you from?

Muhammad Ramadhan: Cairo, Egypt, sir.

Interviewer: To which terrorist squad do you belong?

Muhammad Ramadhan: To someone called Ahmad Ibrahim Al-Turki, sir.

Interviewer: To what "Army"?

Muhammad Ramadhan: The Liberation Army.

Interviewer: A squad under the command of Adam Al-Duma?

Muhammad Ramadhan: Yes, sir.

Interviewer: What terrorist operations did you carry out?

Muhammad Ramadhan: Sir, we killed six National Guard personnel at the Or Hotel.

Interviewer: How did you kill them?

Muhammad Ramadhan: They brought them to us at the hotel, and we slaughtered them. Me and Mustafaa¦ and Zaka Al-Din.

Interviewer: You slaughtered them?

Muhammad Ramadhan: Yes, sir.

Interviewer: With a knife?

Muhammad Ramadhan: Yes, sir.

Interviewer: Did you know their names?

Muhammad Ramadhan: No, sir, I didn't.

Interviewer: Did you know which where they were from?

Muhammad Ramadhan: No, sir, only that they were from the National Guard.

Interviewer: Did they wear National Guard uniforms?

Muhammad Ramadhan: Yes, sir.

Interviewer: Who said that they were from the National Guard?

Muhammad Ramadhan: Allah knows.

Interviewer: Maybe they just brought them off the street? What was the punishment of the National Guard? Whoever wears the National Guard uniform should be slaughtered? Does this make sense?

Muhammad Ramadhan: Sir, they wore National Guard uniforms.

Interviewer: When did you carry out these operations?

Muhammad Ramadhan: Two months ago.

Interviewer: How and where was the slaughter carried out?

Muhammad Ramadhan: In the Or Hotel hall.

Interviewer: In the hall of the hotel?

Muhammad Ramadhan: Yes, sir.

Interviewer: Is this a tourist hotel?

Muhammad Ramadhan: Yes, sir.

Interviewer: And you slaughtered in its hall?

Muhammad Ramadhan: Yes, sir.

Interviewer: What time did this take place?

Muhammad Ramadhan: At midnight they brought them for us to slaughter them.

Interviewer: What did you do with them after you slaughtered them?

Muhammad Ramadhan: They came at 6 a.m. in a white truck, picked them up and said they were taking them to the Wadi 'Iqab cemetery.

Interviewer: Who took them?

Muhammad Ramadhan: The same group that brought them to us.

Interviewer: On the same day?

Muhammad Ramadhan: Yes, in the morning they came and took them.

Interviewer: Did you slaughter the six on that same day?

Muhammad Ramadhan: Yes, on that same day, sir.

Interviewer: So, you brought six people to the hotel and slaughtered them all at once? Who taught you to slaughter? Can anyone who wants to do that?

Muhammad Ramadhan: I regret this act, sir.

Interviewer: Who taught you to slaughter? Where did you learn to slaughter?

Muhammad Ramadhan: This is the first time I slaughtered.

Interviewer: The first time you slaughtered, you slaughtered six people?

Muhammad Ramadhan: The three of us together slaughtered the six.

Interviewer: Who held the knife and slaughtered?

Muhammad Ramadhan: I slaughtered two while they held them for me.

Interviewer: How much did you get for this slaughtering?

Muhammad Ramadhan: The three of us got $1,200 in total.

Interviewer: $1,200 for six slaughtered people?

Muhammad Ramadhan: Each of us got $400.

Interviewer: $200 for each slaughtered person.

Muhammad Ramadhan: Yes, sir.

Interviewer: What's your name?

Zaka Al-Din: Zaka Al-Din Abd Al-Fatah Suliman.

Interviewer: How old are you?

Zaka Al-Din: I was born in 1958.

Interviewer: Egyptian?

Zaka Al-Din: Yes, an Egyptian national.

Interviewer: From where in Egypt?

Zaka Al-Din: Kufr Al-Sheikh.

Interviewer: How many years have you been in Iraq?

Zaka Al-Din: Almost 17 years.

Interviewer: To which terrorist organization do you belong?

Zaka Al-Din: To a squad headed by Ahmad Ibrahim Al-Turki, which belongs to the Liberation Army.

Interviewer: What does this terrorist squad do?

Zaka Al-Din: Operations of destruction, sir.

Interviewer: Did you receive training outside Iraq?

Zaka Al-Din: Yes, I did.

Interviewer: Where?

Zaka Al-Din: In Syria.

Interviewer: In which region?

Zaka Al-Din: In Al-Ladhiqiya.

Interviewer: Who brought you to this work?

Zaka Al-Din: Adam the Sudanese.

Interviewer: After you returned from training in Syria, what terrorist operations did you carry out?

Zaka Al-Din: A squad came to us and brought six people and we slaughtered them.

Interviewer: Where were these six from?

Zaka Al-Din: From the National Guard, but I don't know from where.
