Egyptian Presidential Candidate Sheik Hazem Abu Ismail: Field Marshal Tantawi and Chief-of-Staff Sami Anan Should Get on an Airplane and Leave Immediately

Following are excerpts from an interview with Egyptian presidential candidate Sheik Hazem Abu Ismail, which aired on Mehwar TV on November 21, 2011:

Hazem Abu Ismail: Who says that we do not believe in democracy? We consider democracy to be part of a duality of A and B. Democracy is B, but prior to it, we are all worshippers of Allah. We welcome democracy, as long as it does not run counter to our Lord. For us democracy is sacred and is held in high esteem, which cannot be violated as long as it does not transgress religious prohibitions, as long as it is not against our Lord.

[Field Marshal] Tantawi and [Chief-of-Staff] Sami Anan are done with. I tell them that they have no choice but to get on a plane and be gone immediately. There is absolutely no other option. Hussein Tantawi and Sami Anan should realize that their presence in Egypt has ended. In addition, the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces has 24 hours to decide if it will join [them].

The real thugs are Hussein Tantawi, Sami Anan, and the people they send. When there is such bloodshed, they have no choice but to leave immediately.
