Egyptian Islamist Dr. Muhammad Amara: Western-Funded NGOs Do Not Protect Muslim Women

The following are excerpts from an interview with Dr. Muhammad 'Amara of the Islamic Research Institute in Egypt:

Dr. Amara: The Palestinian woman, today, sacrifices her life and prepares her son for martyrdom. She works miracles. I have followed all the women's rights NGO's, which are financed by the West. They were all struck dumb by what is happening to the Iraqi and Palestinian women. We have organizations, even on the level of first ladies and so on. They were all struck dumb regarding the Palestinian and Iraqi woman. This is not new. In the nineties, when 60,000 Bosnian women were raped in an organized manner in camps, not a voice was heard from the West or from those who are financed by the West. At the same time, they caused us scandals in worldwide over female circumcision. They made films and disgraced the world of Islam over female circumcision.
