Egyptian Cleric Mazen Al-Sirsawi Criticizes Iran, But Expresses Hope that It Will Attack Israel

#2706 | 01:29
Source: Al-Nas TV (Egypt)

Following are excerpts from an interview with Egyptian cleric Mazen Al-Sirsawi, which aired on Al-Nas TV on September 28, 2010:

Mazen Al-Sirsawi: Everybody sees [Ahmadinejad] challenging the US, saying that Iran has nuclear... How come the US hasn't attacked Iran so far? Iran boasts about its nuclear capabilities all the time, claiming that they are intended to threaten Israel. We've been hearing this for 50 years, but Iran hasn't done anything against Israel.

Interviewer: This doesn't mean that we hope that the US will strike Iran or anyone else...

Mazen Al-Sirsawi: No, we hope that Iran will put its money where its mouth is and strike Israel. Even their lackey, Hassan Nasrallah, didn't do a thing to Israel in the 2006 war. He fired a few rockets along the border and in the northern region, hitting some Israeli Arabs, but he didn't do a thing to Tel Aviv. He didn't suffer any losses in this fake war, which was meant to cover up their crimes in Iraq, when the stench of the Shiites filled the air, with their sectarian war and their annihilation of the Sunnis in Iraq.
