Dubai TV Blooper - Tel Aviv Pillow Fight Reported as Settlers' Anti-Withdrawal Demonstration

#597 | 01:34
Source: Dubai

The following is a report on Dubai TV news about a Tel Aviv pillow fight organized by Mobile-Clubbing, an organization that holds such events around the world.

Newscaster: …And from a volcano of lava to a volcano of pillows, or the pillow war that swept the streets of Tel Aviv in the occupied Arab lands. Dozens of Israeli settlers armed with feather pillows gathered for a unique protest, demonstrating their anger toward the Israeli government's decision to pull out from the settlements. Ahmad Majed reports.

Reporter: If you have a pillow, be prepared. A new kind of competition or "telematch" was invented by these Israeli settlers: the feather pillow competition. This pillow war was has treacherous rules, that befit their way of life. Hit the head, hit anyone near you, using no tactics whatsoever. The streets of Tel Aviv were filled with dozens of settlers. They all brought their pillows from home and began to rain blows on anyone nearby.

Pillow fight participant: Everyone needs to be armed with a feather pillow. We left our homes in order to participate. To win you need to make the pillow tear and if that is not enough you need to get all the feathers out of it."

Reporter: However, is this so-called "pillow dance" sufficient to close up the gap created by the decision to pull out of settlements? Perhaps.
