In two interviews recently broadcast on Syrian TV channels, Gulf rulers were lambasted for their role in the Syrian crisis. Syrian Minister Ali Haidar likened Saudi Foreign Minister Saud Al-Faisal to a whore, and Syrian-Palestinian activist Yasser Qachlaq called Al-Faisal and Saudi King Abdullah monkeys, garbage, and sons of whores. Haidar was interviewed on Syria TV on January 22, and Qachlaq on the Syrian Al-Ikhbariya TV channel on January 23, 2014.
Following are excerpts:
Syria TV, January 22, 2014:
Ali Haidar, Syrian minister for national reconciliation affairs: As we've always said, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Bedouin it represents are the last ones who have the right to lecture us.
Let me say something that I've avoided saying so far, but now I'll say it. There is a saying by the important pan-Arab author, the late Said Taqi Al-Din: 'How eloquent a whore can be when she lectures about chastity.' This applies to Saud Al-Faisal.

Al-Ikhbariya TV (Syria), January 23, 2014:
Syrian-Palestinian activist Yasser Qachlaq: When that scumbag Saud Al-Faisal is talking, you feel that... What does he have to do with Syria?
Interviewer: He plays a role in one sense or another. Doesn't he support the armed terrorist groups?
Yasser Qachlaq: Of course. I was very happy when our foreign minister addressed Kerry as "Mr. Kerry," but did not say "Mr. Saud." These people are nothing but garbage.

Iran has been under siege for 30 years, yet it managed to send a monkey to the moon. Saudi Arabia, on the other hand, was not under a 30-year siege, yet all they have managed to produce is a monkey called Abdullah and another called Saud Al-Faisal.

That worn-out shoe, Walid bin Talal, with all his prostitutes... All he has achieved is Monaco [hotels], Rotana TV, and prostitutes, yet he says that he wants to launch a war against Iran.
Go ahead and launch a war against Iran. Who's stopping you? Who's stopping you, you big hero?

[The Yarmouk refugee camp crisis] is a mark of shame on the son of a whore called King Abdullah, the son of a whore called the Emir of Qatar, and on all those who convened yesterday. Every single one of them.
