On May 25, 2024, CCTV Video News Agency (China) posted to its YouTube channel a report about robotic equipment that is being showcased at the joint China-Cambodia "Golden Dragon 2024" military exercise. A Chinese soldier, Yeng Shengzhi explained that a robot dog designed for reconnaissance weighs 18 kilogram and has a "4D wide-angle perception system" that can broadcast to command posts in real time. Another model robot dog weighs 50 kilograms and can operate a rifle carried on its back. Other equipment showcased at the exercise include various small drones, including a drone that can carry and operate a rifle.

Onscreen text: "With batteries and a power system in its abdomen, the robot dog can operate two to four hours. It is capable of performing various actions such as moving forward, lying down, jumping, and moving backward.
