Following a COVID-19 outbreak in Xishuangbanna, a popular tourist attraction in China's Yunnan Province, the Chinese government implemented a lockdown on the area and deployed policemen and armed "COVID-control" agents in hazmat suits to enforce it. Hundreds of travelers were stuck at the local airport, and in this clip they can be seen confronting the armed government agents. The video was posted to the RFA Chinese Twitter account on October 5, 2022.

Caption: "Following a COVID-19 outbreak in Xishuangbanna, many travelers were stranded at the airport. They were confronted by the 'Big White' [Outbreak-control agents]."

Civilian 1: "Aren't you supposed to protect us? You have let us down so much!"

Civilian 2: "Who are you pointing those guns at?"

Civilian 3: "We want to go home! So you point your guns at your people?"

Crowd: "Policemen are beating people! Policemen are beating people!"
