Chinese Coast Guard Harasses Philippine Vessels On Supply Mission In The West Philippine Sea

On June 19, 2024, the Philippine Armed Forces published footage from a June 17 incident in which Chinese Coast Guard ships harassed Philippine vessels and their sailors as they were carrying out a supply and troop rotation mission in the West Philippine Sea. According to the Armed Forces, the incident resulted in the destruction of two Philippine rigid-hull inflatable boats, the theft of equipment, and the amputation of one soldier's thumb.
