California Islamic Scholar Iyad Hilal: Europeans Should Facilitate 'Return Of Jewish Migrants' To Europe – They Created This Crisis; Otherwise, Bloodshed Will Continue Beyond Gaza

During his February 14, 2025, Friday sermon at the Al-Hedayah Mosque in Santa Ana, California, Islamic scholar Iyad Hilal addressed President Trump's Gaza relocation plan. He stated that the "ultimate solution," which he claims has been suggested by Jewish thinkers and leaders, is for the "Jewish migrants" to return to Europe and the Palestinians to return to Palestine. Hilal described this as a "very simple" solution, if the Europeans, who "created this crisis," most move forward and solve it in the "right way," in order to prevent further bloodshed.

Iyad Hilal: "[Trump says that] the people of Gaza are responsible for the demolishment and destruction that has happened upon them, so they have to leave – not the occupier. Logically speaking, the occupier should be asked to leave, not the occupied.

[...]

"The ultimate solution for this is very simple. Like some Zionist... I'm sorry... Like some Jewish thinkers and leaders say: 'Let the Jewish people migrate to where they came from, and let the people of Palestine go back to their land.'

"Some people are calling for the two returns, the return of the people of Palestine to Palestine, and the return of the Jewish migrants to Europe. It is very simple. But this project needs Europe, who created this crisis, to move forward and solve it in the right way, otherwise, we will continue seeing this bloodshed – today in Gaza, tomorrow God knows where."
