Bahrain Preacher Sheik Naji Al-Arabi: Prophet Muhammad Told Polytheists 'I Have Brought Slaughter Upon You'

Sheik Naji Al-Arabi, a preacher at the Manama Mosque in Bahrain, was interviewed by the Iranian Channel of the Arabic-language Al-'Alam TV, and spoke about relations between Islam and its 'enemies.' The following are excerpts:

Sheik Al-Arabi: We don't know how to reach mutual understanding and how to talk to our enemies. We should have two courses of action: one of kindness towards those who understand this style. The second is the forceful way if the situation so requires.

Prophet Muhammad, as recounted in the Prophet's biography by Ibn-Hisham, Ibn-Ishaq and others, was kind to the infidels. Nevertheless, when one day the Polytheists harmed him, he informed their leaders,and they trembled with fear. I would like to say that our brothers the clerics should have...

The US plays with us as much as it like, yet we still say "the White House." But the truth is that inside this Black House ? this is the name it is worthy of ? the most abominable plots are being weaved against the entire world. Therefore the preachers must understand that they are in a great front, and that the nation's situation, especially in Iraq, is explosive and on the brink of civil war between the Sunnis and Shiites and the US is fueling this with all possible means.
