April 4, 2004 Al-Jazeera TV (Qatar)

In its television special marking the first anniversary of the toppling of Saddam Hussein's regime, Al-Jazeera TV recorded the capture of American soldier, Jessica Lynch. Following is a verbatim translation of an excerpt from the report:

Al-Jazeera TV:The American prisoner Jessica was treated in a highly humane manner. The Iraqis gave her their blood in order to bring her back to life. They provided her with the opportunity to change the opinion she had had of this people before the war.

Dr. Said Abd Al-Razzaq, Director Nasiriya hospitalI think the American prisoner received better treatment than she would have received in the US because we abide by our Islamic law and by our professional values?
