Afghan Taliban General Command Of Police Special Units Releases Video Series Showing Fighters With Advanced Equipment: Our Duty Is To Defend The Oppressed, Implement Islamic Law, Call People To Paradise

Between November 28, 2022 and February 25, 2023, the Afghan Taliban Interior Ministry's General Command of Police Special Units posted to its YouTube channel a three-part video series titled "Mujahid's Message". The three videos show Taliban fighters equipped with advanced weapons, uniforms, and combat equipment.

In the first video, a fighter named Mawlawi Abduljaleel tells the viewers that they were born for the purpose of implementing Allah's law in the world, for fighting tyranny, and for calling people to Paradise in accordance with the Quran and the Sunnah.

In the second video, which shows the fighters performing patrol duties in cities and in mountain terrain, a narrator says that fighting oppressors and defending Afghanistan's soil, honor, dignity, wealth, and sacraments is a top value for the mujahideen, and that the Afghan forces are comprised of members of every Afghan tribe.

The third video shows armed fighters standing in formation, and one of the fighters explains that the mujahid's struggle for the sake of Allah involves fighting on the frontline, preaching at the pulpit, and effectively managing administrative tasks, all under the authority of the Emir. He also says that "intellectual warfare" is considered one of the most essential responsibilities of a mujahid, and that this includes patrolling, guarding, office work, and one's personal social life.

Mawlawi Abduljaleel: "'Whoever does good, whether male or female, and is a believer, We will surely bless them with a good life and We will certainly reward them according to the best of their deeds.'

"Oh my Muslim brother! Beware of the beauty of the world so that you are not distracted from your lofty purposes because you are born for the greater purpose. And that purpose is implementing the laws of Allah SWT upon the land of Allah SWT, fighting the Taghut (man-made) laws and its followers. Because you are born to call people towards the Paradise, whereas the followers of Taghut (man-made laws) call towards the Hell. Beware! The life of this perishable world does not return and the life of the Hereafter is both made and destroyed by the very life of this world. Therefore, let's live the life of this world in such a way that we can gain the eternal life of Paradise in the Hereafter. This holy goal can be easily achieved when, after reforming ourselves, we strive to reform our family and society in the light of the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah PBUH!"

Narrator: "I am your brother. Afghanistan is our mutual home. My duty is to defend the soil, honor, dignity, wealth and Islamic sanctities. Our formation is made up from all the dignified and honorable tribes of this land, therefore we are not alien from one another. Our love is divine and our relation is human; fighting against the oppressors and defending the rights of the oppressed is important and valued for us. The responsibilities of the Muslim soldier are clear in the holy religion of Islam and the Shari'a of Muhammad (PBUH). We act according to the Islamic traditions."

Fighter: "Mujahid's struggle is comprehensive (tends to eliminate every evil). Fighting for the sake of Allah in the front, da'wah (inviting) in the pulpit, leading in the alter, management in the office, and ultimately the responsibility of each part for the strengthening of the Islamic system is on him. But this comprehensive responsibility will not be entrusted to him in an unregulated fashion. But it is entrusted to him with the guidance of the Amir (leader).

"Intellectual warfare is also considered one of the important and essential responsibilities of a Mujahid, but the fields of struggle for the intellectual warfare are vast and limitless. Therefore, dear Mujahid! Intellectual warfare should also be carried out in patrolling, guarding, office, and in personal social life so that on the one hand, with the help of Allah SWT, you will be victorious in this effective front, and on the other hand, it will be practically proven to the enemies that a Mujahid is not only the winner of the military warfare, but also has the ability (talent) of the intellectual warfare. Allah willing, and that is not difficult for Allah."
