Yemeni Militant and Anwar Al-Awlaki's Brother-in-Law Tareq Al-Dahab, Who Led Takeover of Yemeni Town of Rida: The Arabian Peninsula Will Be Liberated Soon

Following are excerpts from a statement by Yemeni militant Tareq Al-Dahab, who led Ansar Al-Shar'ia in taking over the town of Rida on January 16, 2012 and occupying its mosque. Al-Dahab, brother-in-law of U.S.-born Yemeni cleric Anwar Al-Awlaki, was recently handed over by Syria to Yemen while trying to infiltrate into Iraq. His statement is followed by footage of locals in the occupied mosque. The video was posted on the Internet on January 18, 2012.

Tareq Al-Dahab: "I call upon the Islamic nation to unite and persevere. The Prophet Muhammad said: 'Victory is but a short time away.' Persevere and be vigilant. The Islamic Caliphate is coming, Allah willing. The Islamic Caliphate will be established, even if we have to sacrifice our skulls, our property, our children, and our homes." ...
