In its August 28, 2011 issue, the Egyptian weekly October published on its front page an article titled "The New Nazis: The Black Record of the Israeli Generals," by 'Ibrahim 'Abd Al-Ghani, which contains virulent incitement against Israel and Israelis. The article states that all Israel's leaders, from Ben Gurion to Netanyahu, have been filled with a murderous hatred for Arabs instilled in them from youth, and have surpassed the Nazi regime in their cruelty and massacres. It is riddled with historical errors and inaccuracies, and is accompanied by an image of Netanyahu as Hitler giving the Nazi salute (see below).
It should be noted that although it cites statements by Holocaust denier Dr. Rif'at Sayyed Ahmad, the article does not focus on antisemitism or on Holocaust denial; rather, its main theme is demonization of Israel by attributing Nazi characteristics to it and by accusing it of emulating and even surpassing Hitler's regime.
The following are excerpts from the article.[1]
The Gang Leading Israel Has Far Outdone Hitler
"If military history describes Hitler and his supporters as Nazis because they supposedly incinerated 6 million Jews in the crematoria, events prove that the gang ruling Israel has vastly surpassed Hitler's deeds. Indeed, they have committed sins and crimes too egregious for the mountains to bear, and have done deeds no mind can comprehend. They have massacred children, made women into widows, murdered men, occupied the land, desecrated the honor of women, created a schism between the youth and the elderly, set plants and animals ablaze, uprooted the za'atar and the olive trees in the Galilee, Deir Yassin, Lod, Abu Shusha, Khan Younis, Al-Aqsa, and Qana, and [perpetrated] massacres and scandals that shocked the entire world.
"In light of the Zionist rulers' great skill, as well as their shameful history of murder and destruction and their terrible record of slander and abomination, [the weekly] October [has decided to] review the black record of [these] Israeli hawks. It did so in the wake of [Israel's] recent crime against the Egyptian police officer and five heroic soldiers who achieved the honor of martyrdom on the [Israel-Egypt] border on the 20th of the month of Ramadhan..."
The International Community Is Trying to Cover Up the Fact That Israel's Leaders Are Great Butchers and Murderers
"October exposed the names and events of the secret histories of [David] Ben Gurion, Yitzhak Shamir, Levi Eshkol, [Shimon] Peres, [Yitzhak] Rabin, [Ariel] Sharon, and the rest of the Zionist rulers who destroyed everything. This is because the great media machine in Europe, the U.S., and Israel is constantly trying to conceal and falsify the facts, in an attempt to prettify Israel and present it as an oasis of democracy in the Middle East. Nonetheless, the bitter truth, which the international community has been careful to cover up, is that all of Israel's rulers are great butchers and murderers – as proven by testimonies, sights, the pages of history and geography, the past, and the present.
"Dr. Rif'at Sayyed Ahmad, director of the Jaffa Research Center for Israeli Studies [in Cairo],[2] has already said that the crimes of Israel's rulers are innumerable, as they used all forms of torture and abuse against the Palestinian people, destroyed entire villages, and carried out ethnic cleansing in over 180 [other] Palestinian villages through rape, destruction, and mass murder. After the [U.N.] Partition Plan was approved in 1947, they forced the residents of Haifa, Tiberias, Jaffa, Acre, Lod, and Ramla to emigrate en masse, so that they could settle the Jews who came from abroad [in their stead]. In addition, [Israel's leaders] used psychological warfare to unnerve the defenseless Palestinian people, in order to sow fear and horror in the souls of children and women, to force them to leave their homes and their food, and to turn them into refugees, when once they had had property and status."
The Jews Stormed Palestine While Our Backs Were Turned
"The Israeli hawks joined the Zionist terror organizations and gangs, the most famous of which were the Stern [Lehi], the Haganah, and the Irgun [Etzel] gangs. They trained in attack and retreat operations, in [tactics of] deceit and fraud, revenge and disguise. These Jews, who disguised themselves as Arabs, had excellent command of the accent and dialect of the Palestinian Arabs, wore Bedouin garb, worked in agriculture and trade, and deliberately walked under the beating sun so that their white and red skin would assume the color of the skin of the people of the desert.
"Later, while our backs were turned, the Falasha, or Ethiopian Jews, as well as the South African, Ugandan, Dutch, Russian, Polish, and German Jews, stormed Palestine, while the original inhabitants lived in refugee camps, many of them leaving the country, never to return.
"Dr. Rifat Sayyed Ahmad said that these gangs trained intensively under the British intelligence and gained experience in operations entailing murder, destruction, bloodshed, corruption of everything, and the elimination of any obstacle preventing the establishment of the State of Israel."
Golda Meir Was Expert at Inducing Palestinian Women to Undergo Hysterectomies
"Among the famous people who headed these gangs were Ben Gurion, Israel's first prime minister; Levi Eshkol; Abba Eban; Moshe Dayan; Menachem Begin; Yitzhak Shamir; Yitzhak Rabin; Shimon Peres; Gen. [Shmuel] Gonen, chief of Israel's Southern Command in the October [1973] War; Eli Zeira, former director of intelligence; chief of staff [sic] Binyamin Ben Eliezer; and Ariel Sharon, former national infrastructure minister and defense minister. The second generation included Ehud Barak, Yitzhak Mordechai, [Binyamin] Netanyahu, and so on. As for former prime minister Golda Meir, she was an expert at inducing Palestinian women to undergo hysterectomies and kill the fetuses in their wombs.

"After World War II ended and Britain, France, and the U.S. defeated the Axis countries, the United Kingdom wanted to return [the Zionists] a favor and fulfill its promise, which is why it equipped these gangs and organizations with ammunition and weapons, enabling them to defeat the armies of four Arab countries in the Palestine war of 1948. After the criminals of the Irgun, Stern, and Haganah gangs grew in number, after Ben Gurion, Shamir, and Sharon had murdered the Palestinians in cold blood, and following the massacres in the Galilee, Abu Kabir, and Deir Yassin, the U.N. decided to appoint British [sic] diplomat [Folke] Bernadotte as a peace envoy to the Middle East.
"The surprise came when Menachem Begin ordered his little duplicate, Moshe Dayan, to assassinate this diplomat, but, as fate would have it, the attempt failed. Bernadotte was miraculously spared death, and Moshe Dayan was wounded by a bullet, losing his left eye.
"Though this attempt failed, Ben Gurion did not give up. He tried again, [this time] charging his capable student Yitzhak Shamir to murder Folke Bernadotte, in order to silence the voice of justice and reason in the U.N. Shamir met with three snipers from the Haganah and Irgun, and they devised an elaborate plan to murder the international envoy. They dressed up as British soldiers and erected a fake checkpoint on a desert road parallel to the Tel Aviv road. Shamir and his companions pounced on Bernadotte and left him a lifeless corpse. Moreover, they even delayed the ambulance that tried to save him and opened fire on its Palestinian driver."
"Sharon Wiped Out Deir Yassin... and His Heart Rejoiced"
"For those who don't know, [it should be pointed out] that the mentor of [the Israeli leaders] Netanyahu, Barak, Eli [sic] Yaalon, Yitzhak Mordechai, Amnon Shahak, and [the other] Shin Bet and Mossad chiefs was Yitzhak Shamir, who commanded the 1948 massacre in Deir Yassin and ordered Sharon to wipe [this village] off the face of the earth. [Sharon] utterly destroyed [the village], leaving behind 6,000 Palestinians dead beneath the ruins, and his heart rejoiced. Those [Palestinians] who survived discovered that the bullet of death [yet] awaited them. Shamir incited these youths, who grew into hawks, to murder women and children and to uproot the descendants of the Palestinian Arabs from the Promised Land.
"The black record of the Israeli leaders reveals that they bit the hand that helped them establish their state, as the popular Egyptian saying goes. The events indeed show that former Israeli prime minister Yitzhak Shamir and current Israeli President Shimon Peres approved logistical and intelligence operations against the British aimed at stealing equipment, arms, and ammunition. The most famous incident was the one in which Shamir and Peres, along with another group from the Haganah, Stern, and Irgun [organizations], dressed as Arabs, broke into the Umm Al-Rashrash camp, near the Gulf of 'Aqaba, and actually seized some of the arms, ammunition, and maps [there]. But before they could complete the mission, the British forces caught them, releasing them only after intense negotiations and a written commitment [on their part] that what had happened would not recur."
The Racism Absorbed by Israel's Generals in Their Youth Later Becomes Part of Their Nature
"As for Shimon Peres, he was Ben-Gurion's capable student, the engineer of the Israeli army's munitions program, a supporter of [Israel's] nuclear program, and the one who hatched the idea of the 'triple aggression' against Egypt [in 1956].
"Peres has lived a long time, becoming president of Israel, and a few days ago he openly apologized to the Egyptian army and to the families of the martyrs for the crime on the border in which a police officer and five heroic soldiers were killed – the incident that led the [Israeli] government to immediately establish an urgent investigation committee in collaboration with the apparatuses of sovereign Egypt.
"The Israeli side gave in to the [Egyptian] request [that it apologize for the incident] in the wake of the popular Egyptian revolution, after the Israeli flag was forcibly removed [from atop the Israeli Embassy in Cairo], and after [protestors] launched a sit-in, to continue indefinitely until the Israeli ambassador would be expelled from Cairo.
"Dr. Tareq Fahmi, director of the Middle East and Israel Studies Centre at the University of Cairo, says that although the land of Palestine nourished Peres as a child and made him into a man, his hostile stance toward the Arabs cannot be erased from memory, even though he is nearing 90. The reason for this is simple: The racism absorbed by Israel's generals in their youth becomes part of their nature as adults. This is true of Peres, Shamir, Ben-Gurion, Levi Eshkol, and Golda Meir. The new generations, including Netanyahu, Barak, Tzipi Livni, and Olmert, are just as bad as the previous generations, which established the State of Israel through murder and destruction, and over the bodies of children and women."
Ariel Sharon Is a Dracula or Bloodsucker Who Knows No Mercy
"The greatest hawk of them all is Sharon, who can be discussed endlessly, since he is a Dracula or bloodsucker who knows no mercy. He launched the massacre in Qibiya, when he ordered his soldiers to open fire on the defenseless people of that town, to destroy mosques and homes in which women and children were taking refuge, so that they would collapse with them inside. General Vagn Bennike, who was chief of staff of the U.N. Truce Supervision Organization in 1953, revealed that the Israeli attack led by Sharon had been planned and carried out in cold blood.
"In 1982, Sharon's crack Unit 101 invaded the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps in Lebanon. Women and children, young and old were murdered on his direct orders. Sharon's forces showed no mercy to the children who fled to the hospital; he ordered his soldiers to kill the sick and wounded there in cold blood. The nurses and civilians [there] were also raped.
"Then, Sharon ordered the invasion of the Akka Hospital [in Shatila], and in an unprecedented event, he ordered one of his soldiers to empty his submachine gun into the head of a sick child of no more than 14. Afterward, tanks of the Haganah army [i.e., the IDF] encircled the refugee camp and shot at everything that moved. The notorious General Ariel Sharon perpetrated this massacre under the slogan of 'no emotion,' and the magic word was 'green,' meaning that blood[shed] was allowed, along with anything else.
"One of the curious facts, as the great writer Baha Farouq points out in his fascinating study Palestine on Maps and in Documents, was that the military tribunal established to investigate Sharon claimed that his orders had been misinterpreted. The 'heroic commander' who killed children and women was fined [only] 10 pennies, equivalent to 14 American cents, and reprimanded by the military court. Academic circles called the verdict the 'Shadmi penny' because of the great stupidity and contempt [that it reflects].[3]
"At Sharon's orders, the bulldozers dug mass graves in Sabra and Shatila. A report by a Washington Post correspondent said that the refugee camps turned into piles of ruins and decapitated corpses. The report also noted that a woman was found tossed into the Al-Tariq River clasping her child to her breast, both having died from a single bullet. Elsewhere, two girls were found on a closed road. One was only 11 years old, and the other no more than a few months old. According to the report, they [too] were killed by gunfire.
"Events also show that Sharon commanded the Shaked [reconnaissance] platoon, which Ben Gurion and Levi Eshkol founded to protect Israel's northern, eastern, and southern borders, and to kill any civilian who approached the borders, even in pasture areas. The Shaked unit has a black record in Israel's military history. In one of its abominable operations, Sharon, along with 20 other members of this unit, dressed in Bedouin garb, raided one of the towns across the Jordan [River], opening fire on children, women, and elderly people, and leaving them to suffer a slow death. In order to leave no trace of the crime, Sharon killed anyone whose heart was still beating or who was still partially alive. Finally, he cut open the bellies of the victims, removed their guts, and fed them to the wild dogs he had with him."
Netanyahu – One of Israel's Most Despicable Politicians and Military Men
"As for Binyamin Netanyahu, Israel's current prime minister, he is one of the most despicable politicians and military figures of all in terms of blood spilled. Simply put, he succeeded in killing the peace process and expelling the Palestinians from their land. He opposed all [offers] for mediation with Syria, showing not a single sign of goodwill in his relations with his neighbors. Worse yet, he threatened more than once to launch a military attack against neighboring countries, especially Syria and Lebanon, to destroy everything in those countries, and to kill the residents of Gaza with phosphorus bombs, which are prohibited by international law.
"For those who do not know, [it should be clarified] that Netanyahu was the commander of a death squad in the June 1967 war, and he led commando operations in Palestine's refugee camps, cities, and towns. In addition, he commanded the operation to rescue the plane that was hijacked by fidayoun [fighters willing to sacrifice themselves], who decided to avenge the Israelis for their increasing crimes against Palestine. Luckily for the passengers, the pilot had studied the airspace of the Middle East and began flying in circles while he engaged the fidayoun in dialogue and negotiations, before suddenly landing at the Tel Aviv airport. At that point, Netanyahu intervened and played a heroic role, saving the passengers."
The Record of Israel's Generals Is No Less Abominable Than That of the Nazis
"Although the attempt to hijack the plane from Tel Aviv failed, a similar attempt was made in Uganda's Entebbe Airport – [this time] by a group of fidayoun that was well trained, unlike the previous group, which fell into a trap. The details of the operation, as revealed by intelligence reports from the time, are [as follows]: Five of the fidayoun managed to take over an Israeli El-Al [sic] plane, forcing it to land at Entebbe Airport. The Israeli pilots fought over who would rescue the plane. [Israel's] military leadership chose Yonatan [Netanyahu], brother of [Binyamin] Netanyahu, as the rescuer or savior. He commanded the fighter jet that flew to the Land of Elephants [i.e. Uganda], and when he landed his plane, a surface-to-air missile hit him, and Yonatan became the victim of the fake heroic [act] that he and his brother carried out against the defenseless Palestinian people.
"As for Ehud Barak, Israel's current minister of defense, his black history is full of lamentable and shameful stories, tales, and scandals, the most notorious of which is undoubtedly [the one in which] he dressed in women's clothing and murdered Fatah leaders in Tunisia [sic].
"The record of Israel's generals is still open, and it is no less abominable than the files on the Nazis in Germany or the Fascists in Italy."

[2] Dr. Ahmad was formerly a columnist at the Islamic weekly Al-Liwa Al-Islami, owned by Egypt's former ruling party, the NDP. In 2004, he published a two-part article titled "The Lie About the Burning of the Jews," in which he claimed, citing Western Holocaust-deniers, that the burning of the Jews in crematoria during World War II was a lie invented by the Zionist movement in order to blackmail the West and enable the establishment of the Zionist enterprise. The article evoked intense reactions in Egypt and outside it, and American pressure eventually led to the resignation of the weekly's editor, Muhammad Al-Zarqani. His successor, NDP member Dr. 'Abdallah Al-Naggar, had the weekly issue an apology for publishing the article. A few weeks later, Egyptian Information Minister Mamdouh Al-Baltagi issued a formal apology on the weekly's front page. In addition, Dr. Ahmad's column was discontinued and he was banned from writing in the paper. [3] This is a reference to the sentence of Colonel Yissaschar Shadmi, commander of the Border Police regiment that carried out the massacre in Kafr Qassem in 1956. Tried in 1959 before a special military tribunal, he was charged with 25 counts of murder and two counts of countering orders, but was convicted only of the latter. He was reprimanded for ordering the curfew to be enforced with the use of live fire, and was fined a token 10 pennies for enforcing a curfew without authorization from the military governor.
