Taliban Statement on 10th Anniversary of 9/11 Attacks: 'Afghans have an Endless Stamina for a Long War and... Will Send the Americans to the Dustbin of History'

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (the Taliban's shadow government in the country) issued a statement, marking the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on the United States. In the statement, the Taliban accused the U.S. of using the 9/11 attacks as a pretext for invading Afghanistan.

The statement also warned that the Afghans will continue to fight against the U.S., adding: "The Afghans are armed with the weapon of belief and have an infatuation with protecting their honor and dignity. Such a weapon is neither available in the arsenal of America nor in the warehouse of her allies. Likewise, the enemy has no deterrent to confront this weapon."

The statement accused the U.S. of committing human rights violations in Afghanistan and of "gobbling down our land and natural resources under the so-called unjustified name of terrorism." ...
