Instructor: "Today we will teach you how to make a gas mask. Here we have some paper cups – the standard juice cups you find anywhere. We take some elastic string, scissors, a pin, and duct tape."

[...]

Instructor: "We put some of the cotton balls inside the cup.

[...]

"A quarter of the cup is filled with cotton balls and another quarter with charcoal.

[...]

"We’ve attached the elastic strings so we can wear it on our ears.

[...]

"We close this second cup as a filter and place it inside the first cup. Voila! We have a brand new filter.

[...]

"Our mask is now ready to use.

[...]

"In order to put the mask on, hold the elastic strings in both hands, and place the mask over your mouth and nose. Place one string over your right ear and the other over your left ear. This way we make the mask airtight.

[...]

"After we put the mask on, we must seal our ears. We use cotton balls, simply sticking them in both ears. This way we will be protected from a chemical attack. Long live Syria, proud and free."
