Following is an excerpt from a report on a demonstration against the funeral of a Hizbullah operative killed in Syria. The report aired on OTV on May 22, 2013:
Reporter: "With burning tires and sand barricades, [Sunni] supporters of Sheik Ahmad Al-Assir and Al-Jama'a Al-Islamiyya blocked a crossroads in the eastern boulevard of Sidon. Then they moved to the Sirop cemetery and blocked it. The reason was that a Hizbullah fighter of the Sabbagh family was killed in Syria, and was supposed to be buried in that cemetery, but the demonstrators would not allow it."

Demonstrator: "This is a symbolic demonstration in support of our people in Syria – the Syria of the revolution, of Jihad, of heroism, of Al-Qusayr, and of Homs. This is a tribute to this blessed city, which has sacrificed martyrs, and which refuses to stand by the oppressor and against the oppressed.
We, in the Union of Muslim Youths, have come from all over Sidon, in order to say to Hizb-Satan: Enough of your contempt for our people and for the blood of our brothers in Syria, stop killing, destroying, and instigating civil strife.
"The message that we want to convey is that that man who was killed will not be buried in this Muslim cemetery. This is the Sunni cemetery of Sidon, and it refuses to have Shiites or their supporters buried in it."
Reporter: "After the mediation of the governor of South Lebanon, Nicolas Abu Daher, Hizbullah held the burial in the Shiite cemetery of Sidon. The head of the Popular Nasserist Organization, Osama Sa'd, was present."
