The Umar Media studio of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) today released an hour-long video statement of Maulana Azmatullah Mehsud, a leading TTP commander.
Azmatullah Mehsud is known to have been close to Baitullah Mehsud, the TTP Emir who was killed in a U.S. missile attack in August 2009. Azmatullah Mehsud was wounded in an attack in December 2008.
The video, with voice over in Urdu language, was released on the jihadist Internet forum Shumoukh Al-Islam. In the video that is primarily addressed to the Ulema (Islamic scholars), Azmatullah Mehsud - citing numerous Koranic verses throughout - delivers a mainly academic lecture on how Islam is the only right path and a complete way of life and it will be in an unending war to dominate other religions. ...
