According to a Sky News Arabia report, aired on October 22, 2014, the game develops strategy and familiarity with weapons. The trailer was posted on the Internet on July 6, 2014.

Voiceover: "Visit the link and join us in playing "The Liberation of Palestine."

Sky News Arabia TV, October 22, 2014

Voice of reporter: "A group of amateur Palestinian [programmers] in the Gaza Strip developed a new computer game, in which the players aim to liberate Palestine virtually. According to the description of the game, called "The Liberation of Palestine," players will gain experience in devising plans and forming alliances, and will become familiar with various offensive and defensive weapons, as well as with historical, archaeological, and religious sites in Palestine."

Karam Hussein, game developer: "In the game, you form diplomatic alliances an carry out prisoner swaps. You get to know Palestinians and non-Palestinians abroad, in the 1948 territories, and in Jerusalem. The main idea is strategy, rather than action."

"The idea is to develop the spirit of resistance among Palestinian boys and girls. This game shows young Palestinians – or in fact, all Palestinians – that mutual understandings and negotiations over plundered rights can never bring about any positive result. The language of weapons is the most effective with the Israelis."

Voice of reporter: "In "The Liberation of Palestine," players carry out various missions, in order to get rid of the Israeli settlements. Players can choose which Palestinian region they want to liberate."
