On February 2, 2025, Telegram channels affiliated with the "Syrian Resistance" reported that a woman from the Alawite-majority village of Balqasah in Homs governorate had been kidnapped while visiting a doctor, and was beaten and humiliated by "Al-Joulani's gangs," who demanded a ransom of 500 million Syrian lira (about $38,000) from her husband.

UAE-Based Outlet: New Syrian Administration Ordered Muslim Brotherhood To Freeze Activity In Country
On February 10, 2025, a UAE-based news website reported, quoting "informed sources," that the new Syrian administration led by President Ahmed Al-Sharaa – who had previously headed jihadi group Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) under the nom de guerre Abu Muhammad Al-Joulani – had sent a message to the General Supervisor of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) in Syria, via someone "close to the Syrian president," demanding that the group freeze its activities in the country.
On February 11, 2025, a Syria-based tactical military training group published a photo on its X account showing fighters training in weapons handling.
Syria-Based 'Financial Jihad' Campaign For Gaza Solicits Cash Donations, Cryptocurrency
On February 10, 2025, Gazan-born Syria-based jihadi cleric promoted a poster on his Telegram channel, soliciting cash donations from across Syria's governorates to benefit Palestinians, specifically in the Gaza Strip.
