On January 31, 2021, a media group apparently associated with Ansar Ghazwatul Hind (AGH), an affiliate of Al-Qaeda, published a long essay by an Indian Muslim who called on Muslims to join the AGH, which is active mainly in Kashmir valley, and launch jihadi terror attacks on Indian agencies outside Kashmir.
