Webmaster of Jihadist Site "Al-Nusra Al-Jihadiyya" Killed in Nahr Al-Bared
On August 27, 2007, the Global Islamic Media Front (GIMF) posted a message titled "The Martyrs Keep Marching On," in which it announced that Abu 'Abdallah Al-Maqdisi, the webmaster of its jihadist website Al-Nusra Al-Jihadiyya, had been killed in Nahr Al-Bared in northern Lebanon.
Following are the excerpts from the message:
"The GIMF announces to the Islamic nation, and in particular to the youth of the jihadist media, that our brother... Abu 'Abdallah Al-Maqdisi, webmaster of the Al-Nusra Al-Jihadiyya network, has been killed by the Crusader army in the refugee camp of Nahr Al-Bared…
"In addition to his membership... in the Global Islamic Media Front, and [to his role as] webmaster of the Al-Nusra Al-Jihadiyya network, this martyr ran a jihadi website, participated in numerous forums… and supported the jihad and the jihad fighters. He died at the age of 23 – young in years, but old in deeds…

"Oh Muslim youth everywhere, and especially in Lebanon and in refugee camps [such as] Ein Al-Hilweh! The war has already begun, and the beautiful virgins [of Paradise] have adorned themselves [in your honor]… Do not miss [the opportunity to enjoy] the fragrance of their perfume. "Today, the Global Islamic Media Front bids farewell to one of its brave knights. A year ago we bade farewell to our beloved late Dr. Sayf Al-Din Al-Kinani,[1] and now we bid farewell to [Abu 'Abdallah Al-Maqdisi]. The Front promises to continue its campaign in support of Allah's faith and [in support of] His soldiers the jihad fighters – until victory is achieved or until we meet the same fate as our brothers Sayf Al-Din Al-Kinani and [Abu 'Abdallah Al-Maqdisi]…
"As for you, the enemies of Islam, be prepared for dark days – so dark that they will cause you to forget the [exploits] of Irhabi 007 and others. We swear that from us you will see nothing but harm and actions that will drive you mad…
"May Allah take mercy on our martyr Abu 'Abdallah Al-Maqdisi and house him in Paradise."
