Molavi Abdolhamid Ismaeelzahi, an Iranian Sunni spiritual leader, said in a Friday, January 27, 2023 sermon in Zahedan, Baluchistan that the Iranian people want a peace-seeking country rather than a warmongering one. He said that Iran should have a foreign policy of de-escalation, that there should be peace in Palestine, and that both the Israelis and the Palestinians deserve an independent state. He also said that today, people are shouting for the same justice, freedom, and independence that they shouted for during the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
