On June 15, 2021, the Gaza "Jihadi Barq ['Lightning'] Unit" launched incendiary balloons into southern Israel. According to the Palestinian media outlet Paltoday.ps, as of 2:00 PM local time 21 fires had been started by these incendiary balloons since the morning.[1]
In a press statement released that morning, in advance of the Jerusalem Flag March, the Jihadi Barq Unit called on its members to act against Israel.

Accordingly, we in the 'Jihadi Barq unit' [hereby?] officially announce the mobilization among our ranks in all areas of the[Gaza] Strip, and tell the occupation settlers: 'Wait for the flames and the fire.'"[3]
