Lebanon, Russia | Special Dispatch No. 11853

American social media influencer Jackson Hinkle, who says he has been living in Moscow for five months, visited Lebanon in order to attend Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah’s funeral. Praising Nasrallah’s view of the United States as "the Great Satan" and of Israel as "a cancerous gland," he said that being invited to the funeral was "the honor of my life." He stated in one of the interviews that he intends "to go back" to the U.S. "very soon" but that "maybe" he would face "new persecution" for his "steadfast support for groups like Hizbullah and Hamas."

MEMRI TV has prepared a compilation of excerpts from interviews given by Hinkle to the U.S.-designated terrorist Hizbullah-owned Al-Manar TV, Lebanon's Mayadeen TV, and Iran's Channel 3 in the days preceding the funeral. Hinkle is a self-described "Conservative Communist," and a vocal supporter of Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong-Un, South African extremist Julius Malema (Economic Freedom Fighters), Hamas, and Hizbullah, and is emblematic of the broader White Jihad movement (see MEMRI Special Dispatch No. 11850, American National Bolshevik And Face Of White Jihad Movement Jackson Hinkle, Who Has Close Ties To Russia, Takes Middle East Tour, Beginning In Qatar To Meet With Hamas Leadership, Then Lebanon Where He Will Attend Funeral Of Hezbollah Leader Hassan Nasrallah, February 21, 2025).

Speaking to the Lebanese Mayadeen TV channel on February 20, Hinkle aligned himself with Hizbullah, Hamas, the IRGC, the Russian Army, and the People’s Liberation Army of China, saying: "I consider my brothers in [these organizations] all to be brothers in the struggle against the Great Satan that is the Deep State in the U.S. government." In an interview with Iranian TV Channel 3, Hinkle, who has been living in Moscow for several months, expressed concern about his possible arrest if he returned to the U.S. Interviewed by the Hizbullah-owned Al-Manar TV, Hinkle said that he was concerned about the possibility that the "Zionist terrorists" would harm him, adding: "I hope and I pray that the legacy and spirit of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah will protect me."

Indicating that he intends to come back to the U.S., Hinkle posted on February 25 about interviewing Hamas, Hizbullah, and the Yemeni Houthis on X, writing: "This is what REAL JOURNALISM looks like. Will my FREE SPEECH rights be protected when I return to the United States?"

"Being Invited To Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's Funeral Is The Honor Of My Life"

Jackson Hinkle: "I'm here in Lebanon for the funeral of Sayyed Hassan Hasrallah.

[...]

"I've always found his analysis of the geopolitical context of the Zionist entity to be premier and of the highest standard. He talks about how the United States is the Great Satan, and Israel, the Zionist entity, is just a cancerous gland. Those were his words, and I think that they truly encapsulate what is going on here and what has gone on here in this region of the world for so long.

[...]

"You know, there were some logistical issues as to whether or not I was going to be able to come. I just wanted to make sure that everything was alright and I'd be here. I told everyone... I said: Look, I need to come. This is the honor of my life to be invited to this, and I think everyone will see just how beloved Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah is.

"I Consider My Brothers In Hizbullah, Hamas, The IRGC, The Russian Army, And The People's Liberation Army In China To Be Brothers In The Struggle Against The Great Satan That Is The Deep State In The U.S. Government"

"I consider my brothers in Hizbullah, in Hamas, in the IRGC, in the Russian army, and in the People's Liberation Army in China all to be brothers in the struggle against the Great Satan that is the Deep State in the U.S. government."

"I've Been Living In Moscow For Five Months Because The Biden Administration Decided That They Were Going To Arrest Journalists"

Interviewer: "Based on the laws of the United States of America, some of the resistance groups in West Asia, like the Islamic resistance in Lebanon and the Islamic resistance in Palestine, are considered... they are recognized as terrorist organizations. Is it dangerous for you, going back to the United States of America?"

Hinkle: "It could be. I've been living in Moscow for five months, because the Biden administration decided that they were going to arrest journalists. They sent the FBI after journalists for telling the truth about the conflict in Ukraine – the special military operation that Russia was leading. When I saw what happened to my friends, I decided to temporarily station in Moscow.

"I intend to go back very soon, because Trump has stopped the persecution of journalists. But who knows? Maybe I'll face a new persecution for my steadfast support for groups like Hizbullah and Hamas.

[...]

"I'm not in the U.S. government. I consider the U.S. government to be an enemy of the American people exactly for that reason. Why are our taxpayer dollars in America being used to fund these horrific acts of violation of International law, killing resistance leaders who are struggling for sovereignty? And at its core, why are taxpayer dollars going to anywhere but America? America is not so pretty right now. Moscow is much nicer. Los Angeles looks very similar to Beirut, if I have to be honest.

[...]

"I think that being legally punished by my government is probably the least of our concerns. It is very possible that the Zionist terrorists might do something worse than that to those who are telling the truth and speaking out. Of course, I hope and I pray that the legacy and the spirit of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah will protect me."
