On November 23, 2010, the Somali jihad group Al-Shabab Al-Mujahideen released a 35-minute video titled "And Inspire the Believers: An Invitation to the Land of Jihad and Ribat," which was posted on jihadi websites, including Al-Shumukh. The film, subtitled in English and Swahili, glorifies the jihad in Somalia and calls on Muslims outside Somalia to join it. Accompanied by jihad songs, it combines footage of Al-Shabab fighters in action, videotaped messages by foreigners who are fighting with the mujahideen in Somalia, and excerpts from recorded addresses by global jihad leaders, such as Osama bin Laden and 'Abdalla 'Azzam, and Al-Shabab commanders Abu Saleh Al-Nabhani and Mukhtar Abu Zubair. It ends with a direct appeal by Al-Shabab spokesman 'Ali Muhammad Raji to the Muslims in East Africa to join the jihad.
