On December 25, 2013, Al-Qaeda's Al-Sahab media arm published an updated version of the movie La Tukalifu Ila Nafsak (“Commit No One But Yourself") that encourages Muslims in the West to carry out terror attacks in their countries. The original version of the film was published in June 2011. The current version has been translated into English and expanded by additional segments demonstrating lone-wolf attacks that were carried out last year in the U.S. and Britain. (For more about the original version of the film, click here.)

The film presents segments in which senior Al-Qaeda leaders – both those remaining alive and those killed since the original film came out – praise lone-wolf attacks and segments showing terrorist attacks by Muslims in the West. The messages by senior Al-Qaeda leaders and the film's narration, most of which are in Arabic, were dubbed into English by a narrator with a South Asian accent (an Indian or Pakistani).

The new version incorporates two additions: The first is a segment on the attack by the brothers Tsarnaev at the Boston Marathon, who are portrayed as heroes thanks to their successfully carrying out a terrorist attack in the U.S. The narrator explains that the attack was performed in retaliation for the war that the US is waging in Afghanistan and Iraq, and boasted that using explosive charges costing $400 the brothers Tsarnaev managed to paralyze a major US city. The narrator praises Tamerlan Tsarnaev in particular and says "Allah will accept his martyr's death and his jihad". The narrator claims that the attacks carried the war to the U.S., and despite the tremendous amounts – totaling billions of dollars – that the US expends on the wars and intelligence apparatuses it did not succeed in preventing the attack that punctured the myth of an impenetrable US since 9/11.

The new version also praises the British Muslims Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebolawe for murdering British soldier Lee Rigby on the streets of London and portrays them as heroes. Rigby's murder is presented as a brilliant example of solo-jihad. The film incorporates the short speech by Adebolajo that was filmed by a passerby.
