'Al-Hayat' Columnist: Sharon Will Be Fuel For The Fires Of Hell

January 13, 2014
Special Dispatch No. 5600

On January 10, 2013, following reports about a drastic deterioration in the health of former Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon, Jihad Al-Khazen, a columnist for the London-based daily Al-Hayat, wrote a scathing article attacking Sharon and the current Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He wrote that Israeli prime ministers are war criminals who outdo one another in depravity and dishonesty, and that the current Israeli government is neo-Nazi. In the context of the present Israeli-Palestinian negotiations, he stated that Palestine, which stretches from the river to the sea, is a land where no trace of Israel exists "despite the fairytales of the Torah".

The following are excerpts:[1]

Jihad Al-Khazen

"They said on the news that [Ariel] Sharon was dead or dying. He is a despicable terrorist who, from a human or moral point of view, was [already] dead many years or decades ago, just like other Israeli prime ministers before and after him.

"First of all, his name isn't Sharon. His father, who immigrated to Palestine from Belarus, was named Shmuel (or Samuel) Scheinermann. [Sharon] changed his name just like all Israel's prime ministers do because they have no roots. In the past I wrote an entire article about them and about the real name of each of these war criminals, from Ben Gurion to Netanyahu.

"Every Arab reader remembers the role Sharon played in the [1982] massacre of Sabra and Shatila, but his record shows that he was a terrorist before this and after this [as well]. He was a member of a secret unit of the [Israeli] army that assassinated Palestinians. Following the 1982 massacre he was deposed, but then he returned because terror is the profession of every Israeli soldier and politician. Hearing that he has died or is about to die, I say, may Allah not return him [to us]. He paid for his crimes, and when he [finally] dies he will be fuel for the fires of Hell.

"Netanyahu is no better than him. Israeli prime ministers outdo one another in depravity, crime and dishonesty. Netanyahu began his adult life as a soldier. He has written with pride of his role in destroying passenger planes in Beirut Airport in 1968, and he deals in terrorism to this very day...

"The Palestinian problem is not about 26 prisoners released from Israel's military prison camps, which are reminiscent of the Nazi military camps, nor is it about 1,600 housing units in some settlement that the Israeli government threatens to build and then [cancels] before a visit by Kerry. The Palestinian problem is about not [the question of whether] Israel is a Jewish state, or [the questions of an Israeli] presence in the Jordan Valley or the annexation of the Jordan Valley, as a Knesset committee [recently] requested with the support of eight ministers from the government of occupation, murder and terrorism. Nor is it about any American economic program, namely an idiotic attempt to bribe [the Palestinians].

"Palestine from the river to the sea is the only history of this land. [It is a land] where Israel never existed, despite the fairytales of the Torah. There is no trace of Israel or [its] false prophets on Palestinian soil, or of the numerous whores mentioned in the Torah.

"The Palestinians agreed to a state on [only] 22% of their territory, and we agreed along with them. But the Israeli government is an extremist fascist [government] that does not want peace and places obstacles in its path on a daily basis. It is a neo-Nazi government, and any other claim is a fairytale like those of the Torah. That is why I believe Kerry will be disappointed and all his efforts will be in vain. The Israeli government does not want peace but is [merely] lying, just like Netanyahu is doing when he questions the Palestinian government's desire for peace as though he himself wants it.

"Ariel Sharon is a model of Israeli terrorism and murder, an outrageous model. He did not even attempt to sugarcoat the crimes, as other [Israeli] prime ministers did and as Netanyahu does today. [The latter] is a public relations expert whose [real] profession is lying and terrorism, and has been since the day he was born. That is why he has all the necessary characteristics of an Israeli prime minister.

"By the time these words are published Ariel Sharon may be dead, and I say again: may Allah not return him [to us]. He was stricken from the roster of humanity decades ago."
