Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas: We Say 'No, No, No' To The Deal Of The Century One Thousand Times; We Are Not A Terrorist People, But We Deserve To Live; We Should Unite With Hamas

January 29, 2020
Palestine | Special Dispatch No. 8531
On January 28, 2020, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas spoke at a press conference in response to the release of the details of the "Deal of the Century" peace plan. Saying the deal is the "culmination" of the Balfour Declaration, which he claimed the United States had founded, Abbas said that the Palestinians reject the "conspiratorial" deal a thousand times over, that Jerusalem is not for sale, that an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital will be established, that the Palestinians should take to the streets like the Lebanese people, that the Palestinians only accept negotiations based on United Nations resolutions, and that the PA, Hamas, and other Palestinian factions should put aside silly differences and stand united. President Abbas also said that the Palestinians are not a terrorist people, but that they deserve to live. To view the clip of Mahmoud Abbas on MEMRI TV, click here or below. "We Have Just Heard President Trump And Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu Talking About The 'Slap' Of The Century; We Will Respond To This Slap With Multiple Slaps" Mahmoud Abbas: "I'd like to say to the Trump and Netanyahu duo that Jerusalem is not for sale. None of our rights are up for sale or for compromise. Your conspiracy of a deal will not pass. [...] "Our people will send [the deal] to the garbage bins of history, where all the conspiratorial plans to eliminate our cause have gone. [...] "We have just heard President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu talking about the 'Slap' of the Century. We will respond to this slap with multiple slaps, inshallah, in the future." [...] "The Deal Of The Century Is Based On The Balfour Declaration, Which Was Created By America And Britain; Some May Find This Strange; America? Yes, America!" "Having heard these statements, which were nonsense from beginning to end, we say a thousand times: 'No, no, no, to the Deal of the Century.' Dear brothers, I consider this deal to be the culmination of the Balfour Declaration. This was what they were aiming for in the Balfour Declaration. [...] "The Deal of the Century is based on the Balfour Declaration, which was created by America and Britain. Some may find this strange. America? Yes, America! And Britain. It was America that formulated [the Balfour Declaration], in agreement with Britain, and it was America that incorporated it into the Covenant of the League of Nations, even though it was not a member of the League of Nations, and it was America that incorporated it into the Command Paper of the [British] Mandate, even though it was not in charge of that Mandate. Then it said: 'This must be implemented.' Who did? America!" "Some People Accept The Claim That The Zionist Lobby – AIPAC – Controls America... That's Nonsense... It Is The American Policy That Hires All The Lobbies So That They Heed Its Policy" "Should this come as a surprise? In the past, we used to hear that the Americans have democracy and moral values, but this is the American policy that we see being implemented on our land now. Therefore, we must understand the facts as they are. America founded the Balfour Declaration, and it has now begun to implement it. Some people accept the claim that the Zionist lobby – AIPAC – controls America, and that the U.S. administration follows the policy of the Zionist lobby. That's nonsense. Nonsense. It is the American policy that hires all the lobbies so that they heed its policy and plans. I would like us to understand this. [...] "We shall continue our efforts and our struggle in order to reach an independent Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem as its capital, within the borders of June 4 [1967]. [...] "We adhere to our national principles, which were published by the Palestinian National Council in 1988. [...] "We say to the world: We are not a terrorist people. We have never been a terrorist people. We are committed to the fight against terrorism. However, the world must understand that this people deserves to live. In addition, we adhere to negotiations on the basis of the international legitimacy [of the U.N. resolutions]. I said at the Security Council that I want an international conference and negotiations led by the Quartet. I will not accept America as the sole [mediator]. I won't have it. I know that I cannot ignore American, but America is not the entire world. No. There is an international Quartet. I will accept the international Quartet. I also accept that five countries will be with the Quartet. They are welcome to put any of the U.N. resolutions on the table and we are ready to negotiate on the basis of this. But on the basis of Trump's deal, or the deal of anyone else... Tomorrow someone else might show up. I don't know. Mr. Trump... If something happens, and he does not complete his term, someone else will come, and he will say the same thing. This policy is the policy of the deep state. It's not random. It's from 1917, not from today." "We Will Not Accept This; We Will Fight With Everything We Have; The Peaceful Popular Protest Will Be Our Number-One Weapon" "We will not accept this. We will fight with everything we have. The peaceful popular protest will be our number-one weapon. I didn't look outside, but I think that the Palestinian people is in the streets, here, in Jerusalem, in the West Bank, and everywhere in the world. I didn't tell the people to take to the streets, but they saw and heard what was said by Mr. Netanyahu and the other one... Trump. The people have taken to the streets on their own. We should use this method. Look at our brothers in Lebanon. The young men and women of Lebanon have been in the streets for 100 days now. [...] "We should do the same, inshallah. I am addressing all the Palestinian factions." [...] "To Our Martyrs, Our Prisoners, And Our Wounded: Israel And America Have Tried To Deny Us Our Money... In Order To Make Us Stop Paying [You]" "I talked to Mr. Ismail Haniyeh. I said to him... He said to me first: 'We must meet immediately. In half an hour.' I said to him: 'How about meeting in Gaza immediately, and starting a new stage, inshallah, of Palestinian dialogue and joint Palestinian action?' We should overcome all the small and silly things, in order to stand united. If we stand united, the whole world will surely stand and salute us. We are people who deserve life. We are people who want our rights. "Finally, I'm saying to our martyrs, our prisoners, and our wounded: Israel and America have tried to deny us our money, which they collect for us for a fee... Nothing with them is for free... They get a fee for everything... In order to make us stop paying the prisoners, the wounded, and the martyrs. The prisoners, the wounded, and the martyrs are the most sacred to us. By Allah, if we have one single penny left, it will be spent on the martyrs, the prisoners, and the wounded." [...] "We Will Turn To The Security Council, And We Will Act In Europe And Everywhere Around The World, But The Most Important Action Is The Action On The Ground" "We will turn to the Security Council, and we will act in Europe and everywhere around the world, but the most important action is the action on the ground. It is what you do that takes hold, so don't wait to see what others are doing for you. The others are important, and it is imperative that we draw them into our ranks, but it won't work if we don't have ranks to begin with. You need to act in order for people to help you. Remember the beginning of the Palestinian [movement], the beginning of Fatah. Why did it happen? Because if we had not done it ourselves, nobody would have. If we had not started it ourselves, nobody would have done it for us."

Qatari Media Figure And Former Diplomat Calls To Increase Birthrate Among Qatari Citizens, Who Constitute Only 9.5% Of Country's Population

January 29, 2020
Qatar | Special Dispatch No. 8530
In a recent article in the Al-Sharq daily, Mubarak bin Jaham Al-Kuwari, the former CEO of Qatar's Media Corporation and former Qatari ambassador to Spain, called upon the Qatari authorities to take measures to increase the birthrate among the country's citizens, who constitute less than a tenth of its population. The rest of Qatar's population comprises mainly foreign workers, mostly from East Asia. Arguing that this demographic imbalance threatens Qatar's identity, culture and future, Al-Kuwari suggested learning from Japan, which has tasked a state minister with enacting measures to increase the birthrate. The following are excerpts from Al-Kuwari's article:[1]  Mubarak bin Jaham Al-Kuwari (source: Al-Sharq, Qatar) "Several years ago, Japan created a ministerial position [for dealing with the issue of] increasing the birthrate among its citizens.[2] In the first statement he issued, the new minister, who is tasked with finding ways to increase the birthrate and to prevent the dwindling population from falling below the100 million mark, said: 'I hope that the citizens will adopt my view that having children is beneficial.' "Japan has been suffering for two decades from a declining birthrate, and this trend is expected to persist. The goal of the [new] ministry is to encourage civil action [in this context], in light of the impact [of the birthrate] on general economic growth. The ministry also stresses that there is no need for immigration in order to enlarge the population. "This new notion [of encouraging childbirth] drew my attention. I applied the idea to several Arab countries and came to the conclusion that we Qataris, and several other Gulf states, have a dire need for such a notion, since the citizens [of these countries] have become a minority. Qatar's demography is severely imbalanced today, and this threatens the identity, culture and future of the homeland. According to the latest statistics for 2019, Qatari citizens make up 9.5% of the [country's] population of over three million. There are three Asian countries whose nationals make up a larger portion of [Qatar's] population [than the Qatari citizens], and one of [these groups] is nearly twice as large [as the group of Qatari citizens]... "We should definitely learn from the Japanese experience. There is no need to form a ministry for increasing the birthrate, but we should encourage childbirth using proven methods of moral and material [support], in order to increase the [number of Qatari citizens among] the population, and so that more citizens will be active in the building of the homeland and will not suffer from a complex of fear about the future... [For] building the homeland and protecting its survival is everyone's responsibility."   [1] Al-Sharq (Qatar), January 12, 2020. [2] In 2005, Japan appointed a minister of state for gender equality and social affairs, who is responsible, inter alia, for enacting measures to combat the country's declining birthrate (see kunikoinoguchi.jp, website of Kuniko Inoguchi, who was the first to hold this post in 2005-2006).

Iranian Animation Group Releases Video Depicting Countless Coffins of American Soldiers in “Aftermath” of Iranian Strike on Ayn Al-Asad Air Base

#7765 | 01:51
Source: The Internet - "SSAFF - Iranian animation group"

On January 21, 2020, an Iranian animation group called SSAFF uploaded an animated video titled “Ayn Assad” to the Iranian website aparat.com. The animation shows the “aftermath” of the January 8 Iranian attack on the Ayn Al-Asad airbase by depicting hundreds of coffins covered in U.S. flags that have skulls instead of stars. A helicopter is shown flying over the coffins, and the pilot says into his radio that there are “many corpses” that cannot be evacuated with one helicopter. The pilot then requests for an additional helicopter to be sent to evacuate the bodies. The animation ends with the following quote from Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei: “They received a slap in the fact [that] night.”

Jihadi Clerics Issue Fatwa Permitting Muslims To Celebrate Spread Of Coronavirus In China, Accuse China Of 'Exporting' Coronavirus To East Turkestan

The following report is now a complimentary offering from MEMRI's Jihad and Terrorism Threat Monitor (JTTM). For JTTM subscription information, click here. On January 23, 2020, Syrian jihadi cleric Abd Al-Razzaq Al-Mahdi issued a fatwa permitting Muslims to celebrate the spread of the Coronavirus in China, and further permitting Muslims to pray to Allah to annihilate the people of China. Al-Mahdi is a prominent cleric who is well respected by jihadi factions, and who is known for his sermons and fatwas, in which he encourages Muslims to take part in jihad and carry out attacks inside Russia.[1] According to his Twitter account, which has more than 11 thousand followers, Al-Mahdi is from Damascus, and describes himself as "not affiliated with any group or party." Al-Mahdi is also active on Telegram, on which his channel has over 11 thousand subscribers. The fatwa, which was posted on the "Fatwas from the Land of Sham"[2] Telegram channel, was a response to a question asked by one Muhammad Abu Nassir who wrote: "Is it permissible that we express our joy for what China is experiencing – the Coronavirus and the death of the Chinese people." Responding to the question, Al-Mahdi said: "Yes, yes we should express our joy and pray for their annihilation. They [the Chinese] have declared resounding war and they killed, slaughtered, imprisoned, and oppressed the Uyghurs and non-Uyghur Muslims. They are the enemies of Allah and are Buddhists and communists. The non-Muslim Chinese people are either Buddhists or communists." Saudi Jihadi Cleric Accuses China Of Exporting Coronavirus To East Turkestan On January 26, 2020, Syria-based jihadi cleric Abdallah Al-Muhaysini published a post on his Telegram channel[3] accusing China of "exporting" the Coronavirus to East Turkestan. In the post, Al-Muhaysini wrote: "China's criminal policy aimed at exporting the Coronavirus to East Turkestan by canceling all flights to and from the city of Wuhan except the ones heading to East Turkestan. As usual, the Communist China, will not waste any opportunity to annihilate the Muslim nation of Uyghurs." Turkish Woman Promotes Fundraising Effort For Widows Of 'Martyrs,' Children, Prisoners In Turkey And In Al-Hol Camp In Syria

January 28, 2020
Turkey | Special Dispatch No. 8527
Note to media and government: For a full copy of this report, send an email with the title of the report in the subject line to media@memri.org. Please include your name, title, and organization in your email. A Turkish woman with accounts on Twitter, Telegram, Facebook, and Instagram is calling, exclusively in Turkish, for donations for the families of prisoners and for widows and orphans of fallen mujahideen, and posting about funds that have been sent. It is unclear where she is located, but several of her recent posts include the hashtag "Al-Hol," and "Al-Hol Camp," and feature detainees in the camp in northeast Syria that houses approximately 70,000 women and children. Unlike others who have raised funds in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies for those affected by the Syrian civil war, she appears to use only cash and bank transfers. She has posted receipts showing money sent using a Turkish bank and a Turkish postal service, as well as a Turkish government document indicating money had been sent to someone in a Turkish prison. Twitter Activity On April 24, 2019, she tweeted: "My brothers and sisters, maybe Allah did not today give us the opportunity to make jihad, maybe our invitation is not that active, but Allah gave us the opportunity to take charge of those who were left behind... Let's take charge of the wives of the martyrs for Allah. Let's help the muhajireen." On December 11, she shared a video taken by a detainee from inside a tent in Al-Hol. She added: "Do not forget, help the prisoners, the wives of martyrs, the muhajireen, pray for them." She tweeted four photos of a home's furnished interior on December 30, and wrote: "With Allah's permission and your means we got a house and furniture for a martyr family of three orphans whose father was a martyr." She tweeted on January 8, 2020: "My dear brothers and sisters, do you realize that we continually share and bemoan the sisters in Al-Hol Camp, but we are not doing anything?... " Instagram Activity On January 11, 2020, she posted a photo of a woman with children in a tent and wrote: "We gave cash to our sister who is imprisoned in the Al-Hol Camp and for whom we had made a call for aid before and to whom we provided the means for her children to get surgery." The hashtags "Al-Hol," "Al-Hol Camp," "muhajir," and "jihad" were used in the post. She posted an image of a government document from 2019 stating that 400 lira, or about $68, had been sent to someone imprisoned in Turkey. An image of a money transfer that she posted showed that on December 20, 2019, 650 lira, or about $110, had been sent. She wrote that it was for a "martyr family's rent." On March 27, she posted a photo and identified the "sisters" in it as an Uzbek, an Indian, and a Serbian, all of whom are "the wives of martyrs" and who "are having a problem with rent." She added: "If we cannot help them, let's spread the word."

Antisemitic, Racist, Misogynistic Gab Users Call For White People To Convert To Islam To Prevent 'White Genocide'

January 28, 2020
Special Dispatch No. 8528
On Gab, two users have been calling for white people to convert to Islam. Abiding by Sharia law, they argue, will prevent the extinction of the white race by raising birthrates and restricting the roles of women. They also share links to a BitChute channel which promotes the ideology. The following are examples of the content they post. YOU MUST BE SUBSCRIBED TO THE MEMRI WHITE SUPREMACIST THREAT MONITOR (WSTM) TO READ THE FULL REPORT. GOVERNMENT AND MEDIA CAN REQUEST A COPY BY WRITING TO MEDIA@MEMRI.ORG WITH THE REPORT TITLE IN THE SUBJECT LINE. In one post, one of the users enumerated the reasons white people should convert to Islam: Islam's alleged emphasis on high birthrates (referred to as the "true salvation" of the white race) and nuclear families; traditions; prayer; a "perfect" legal system; "interest-free banking"; and the eradication of the Jews, "as per the Quran," with the End Times signaled by this, after which peace will reign on earth. Why white people should convert to Islam, Gab In the post, the user explained that "Europe is dying" because of its low birthrate, and that while "muds"[1] kill some whites they kill each other much more. The media, allegedly "controlled by Jewry," inflates Muslim violence against whites so as to direct anger away from themselves and from non-whites, according to the user, who added that white European women convert to Islam because women yearn to live under "sharia treatment" and want neither to be treated well by men nor a religion that allows them to "whore themselves out" and then pray to Jesus and be "eternally forgiven." The concept of "White Sharia" was introduced in 2017 by white supremacist Andrew Anglin. He proposed it as a means for controlling women and restoring the masculinity of white men that had been eroded by "Jewish culture in the West" to the point where white women preferred "brown men." The only solution, he wrote, is "WHITE SHARIA" that involves not only "restraining women" but also men becoming "real men" whom women will naturally want. He added that restraint is something that women naturally want anyway. Thus, "White Sharia" is the only solution, according to him.[2] In a Gab post, one user listed the Muslim countries he considers to be white, among them Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkey, Albania, Iran, Egypt, and Chechnya, with Iraq and Syria included because they have come under "White influence." Both users post and share misogynistic and racist content. For example, one wrote that "n******s and muds" will patrol "white bitches" so that the latter will stay indoors and take white men as partners. The post added that most whites are converting to Islam in any case.       [1] Short for "Mudskins", a derogatory term for Arabs and Muslims from the Middle East. Chairman Of Canadian White Supremacist Organization Who Says He Was Banned Over 100 Times From Facebook Is Currently Active On VK, Gab, Stormfront, Vanguard National News, And A Nationalist Canada-Based Social Network; States That With One Phone Call He Could Obtain Weapons, Hand Grenades, And A Missile Launcher

January 28, 2020
Special Dispatch No. 8529
The chairman of a Canadian white supremacist organization maintains accounts on several social media platforms. In 2019 he made public on his VK account that he had been banned from Facebook over 100 times. These attempts, he added, are futile, since he repeatedly resurfaces on the site using an alias. He argued that bans only reinforce his cause, giving him hero or martyr status among his followers. He lists [redacted] as his current location. He has written about his legal battles online. For example, in 2019 he wrote that a human rights attorney and board member of a Canadian anti-hate organization had obtained a restraining order against him. He also posted a message inciting lone wolves to target media outlets and anti-racism organizations. He frequently discusses his group’s ideology, his hatred for Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and his contempt for the Antifa group. It should be noted that his posts are largely identical across different platforms. On his Blogspot blog he details the activity of his organization. The following report documents his presence on the social networks VK, Gab, and a Canada-based social network, as well as on the websites Stormfront and Vanguard News Network. VK On his profile for the social network VK, he lists his mobile number, email address, and the URL of the blog of his organization.    On January 1, 2020, he posted a link to a media article about efforts by a local mayor to rid the city of white nationalists, writing that "ignorant, foolish, and hysterical" hatemongers such as this mayor are incapable of realizing that no hatred was promoted and no law was broken and that the flyers in question represent the views of many. In August 2019, he wrote that Facebook had finally banned him from using his real name on the platform. He added that he still uses a Facebook account under an alias, thanking Facebook for banning his name and adding that this enhances his "legend" and that he is now back to his activism and protests and building his network on the ground and on the front lines. At this time, he maintains a Facebook account under a different name. He posted an image of a court summons he received following a restraining order obtained against him by a board member of a Canadian anti-hate organization. On April 8, he wrote that he has been banned from Facebook over 100 times in the past decade, although he had never "violated Facebook standards," and that he had always come back. All this does, he added, is make him and others like him "heroes" and increase the number of their followers across social media. On June 13, he posted a YouTube clip from the film "Joker" and wrote that he needed "a machine gun." Stormfront On the popular neo-Nazi forum Stormfront, he has solicited donations to cover his legal costs for the legal case brought against him by the anti-hate organization. On June 16, 2019, he posted a screenshot of a Facebook profile he had created in his accuser's name on which he wrote about how easy it is to fake a profile on the platform, implying that the charges against him were likewise fake. On July 7, he posted, on the neo-Nazi forum Vanguard News Network (VNN), a clip of his interview with two fellow white nationalists, in which he discussed his "persecution" and the attempted violation of his "civil liberties" by the anti-hate organization. Media reported in August 2019 that the anti-hate organization official had won a peace bond against him. In online threats to the organization, he listed anti-racism groups and media outlets and instructed his readers to "do it right" if they were going to carry out "lone wolf actions." Gab On October 10, 2018, he wrote in a Gab post about criminals obtaining guns that with one phone call he could have any gun he wanted, along with hand grenades and a stinger missile launcher, if he had the cash.   On Gab, he follows a number of extremist nationalist Canadian groups. Canada-Based Social Network On a far-right Canada-based social network, he runs a group for the organization that he heads. That group currently has 267 members. Also on that platform, he is a member of half a dozen other groups that are similar to the one he runs.
