On January 21, 2025, a Telegram outlet affiliated with Iran-backed militias shared a video warning against the "evil" agenda of the U.S. President Donald Trump's administration, both domestically and internationally. The video aims to discredit Arabs who are advocating for President Trump's foreign policies.[1]

The one-minute video, which was posted on Telegram by the "Khatim Al-Anbiya' (Last Prophet) Center For The Resisting Media," featured an image of President Trump with a text in Arabic highlighting some of his recent remarks, including some from his inauguration speech.

Countering pro-Trump commentators in the Arab world who are speculating that President Trump's term will usher in peace and freedom, the video claims that the inauguration speech revealed instead that the president has "evil" plans:

"While the seculars and liberals are marketing and promoting the American narrative under the pretext of freedom and peace, we find that the inauguration speech of the new American president Trump was filled with brutal images that involve meddling, threats, arrogance, and evil plans," reads the Arabic text in part.

The text further highlights President Trump's other remarks, in which he expressed his interest to make Greenland part of the United States and to take back Panama Canal "by force," and comments in which he expressed his "enmity" of Canada and his plan to "fight it economically."

Additionally, the video alleges that President Trump is "hostile" towards Mexico, saying that he blames it for causing "social problems" inside the U.S.

The video also accuses President Trump of "extorting" Saudi Arabia, saying that he asked the latter to pay the U.S. "another $450 billion."

President Trump's remarks were originally made during a press conference, held January 20, 2025, in which he referenced an arms deal he signed with Saudi Arabia during his first presidential term, suggesting that he is willing to sign another deal with Riyadh during his second term.

Further, the video alleged that President Trump incites violence against African Americans, Latin Americans, and Muslims residing in America.

Claiming that President Trump will fully support the "crimes of the Zionist entity," i.e., Israel, the video ends with the following question which is meant to turn viewers against President Trump's supporters in the Arab world:

"What do the secular, liberal Muslims have to say about these measures?"
