On June 4, 2022, the Houthi Ansar Allah movement in Yemen marked "the anniversary of Al-Sarkhah [The Cry] in the face of arrogance." Al-Sarkhah is the movement's slogan, chosen by its late leader, and says, "Allah is the Greatest, Death to America, Death to Israel, Cursed be the Jews, Victory to Islam."

A statement released by the Ansar Allah leadership on the occasion of the anniversary asserts that the slogan, "broke the silence that the American enemy wanted to achieve after the events of September 11," and stresses that, "Yemen will continue in confrontation until victory as long as the forces of aggression refuse to submit to the truth." It also declares that the Yemeni people are committed to the Palestinian issue and "to fight the major battle with the axis of resistance… America and Israel are the enemies of the nation and its religious and national duty requires declaring a comprehensive mobilization against them."[1]

On the same day demonstrations and conferences were held in the areas under Ansar Allah movement control, and constituted the culmination of two weeks of events, conferences, lectures, and ceremonies.

At many of the events which were covered by the organization's official media and its supporters, during which slogans condemning the U.S. and Israel were heard, children who are being educated in accordance with these sentiments were also present. In some cases the children played a passive role as members of the audience, or as bearers of placards emblazoned with the movement's slogans who declaimed those slogans while at some events their role was more active, and they gave speeches and sang songs.

As was to be expected, the youth movements also participated in the events. For example, in the Al-Hudaydah Governorate the youth movement participated in a parade that was held on June 3, 2022.[2]

Some of the events were held at schools and stressed the importance of "establishing the culture based on the slogan of Al-Sarkhah, so as to encourage the Yemeni nation to continue on the path of truth and confrontation with the enemies."[3]

The indoctrination of the children to hatred of the U.S. and Israel does not begin at school, but at even younger ages. Supporters of Ansar Allah on Twitter shared a photograph which depicts children, some who appear to be under the age of two, wearing T-shirts emblazoned with the movement's slogan. Posts which accompany the photograph read, "This is the Al-Sarkhah Generation;" "The Future Generation;" and "Death to Jews."

One example is the Twitter account of Al-Jadd Radwan, who tweeted the hashtag #GenerationOfDeathToIsrael, and whose tweet contains the slogan along with additional hashtags such as: #TheSloganIsAWeaponAndAPosition; #TheAnniversaryOfAl-Sarkhah and #TweetTheSlogan.[4]

Another tweet reads, "This is the Al-Sarkhah generation. O Jew, die."[5]

A Twitter user named Tha'ir Sana'a tweeted, "#GenerationOfTheFuture with Allah's help destabilize the throne of the tyrants across the world."[6]

Yet another Twitter user named Mahmoud Abu Ishaq also tweeted, "#GenerationOfTheFuture with Allah's help destabilize the throne of the tyrants across the world and added, "This is the generation [that will cause] death, annihilation and destruction #TheJews and those close to them."[7]
