A French neo-Nazi group on Gab posts numerous antisemitic and inciting items which violate the French law. The French “Law on the Freedom of the Press of 29 July 1881” sets limits on this freedom. As Article 24 reads: “[...] those who […] provoked discrimination, hatred or violence against a person or a group of people because of their origin or their belonging - or non-belonging - to a specific ethnic group, nation, race or religion, will be punished by one year's imprisonment and a fine of 45,000 euros or of only one of these two penalties.”
Three previous MEMRI-DTTM reports provided samples of French GAB posts inciting hate and violence. This fourth report focuses specifically on this specific group.
