On March 19, 2023 Yahya Saree, the spokesman of the Yemen-based Houthi Ansar Allah movement's armed forces, said at a press conference that over the past eight years, the Houthi armed forces have been "steadfast" in their "struggle against aggression." He said that the Houthis have carried over 589 missiles attacks and 997 drone strikes in enemy territory, some in the depths of Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
He also said that the U.S. supports the "aggression" against Yemen in every aspect, including by inciting it, planning operations, overseeing them, and participating in them directly. In addition, referring to American and British forces present in Yemen, Sar'ee said that "any foreign military presence in Yemen constitutes a legitimate target for the armed forces and for the entire free Yemeni people." He added that the Houthi armed forces are prepared to carry out any instructions regarding this foreign military presence.[1]
