On March 17, 2021, the media arm of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) released part five of its lecture series featuring the group's security commander, in which he stressed the importance of safeguarding information even from trusted individuals, and for fighters to always be vigilant online. He said that fighters should not share secret mission information online.
