U.S.-Born Jihadi Journalist Links Charity Platform To U.S. Drone Industry, Accuses Board Member Of Benefiting From Killing Muslims

On January 29, 2023 a U.S.-born jihadi journalist released a video on YouTube criticizing an online charity platform for its perceived connection to the U.S. drone industry via one of its board members.

The journalist juxtaposed figures compiled by the U.S. Bureau of Investigative Journalists and The Intercept, which suggest that U.S. drone strikes result in disproportionately higher civilian casualties than enemy combatants, with images of civilian casualty figures in Muslim countries and charity campaigns on the platform to benefit children affected by war in those countries.

The jihadi journalist concluded by cautioning Muslims against donating money via the platform, saying that some on its board of trustees directly benefit from the killing of Muslims.
