Telegram Channel Affiliated With Iran-Backed Militias In Iraq: U.S. Embassy Chose Not To Intercept Attack Drone Targeting PM's Residence

On November 8, 2021, a Telegram channel affiliated with Iran-backed Shi'ite militias in Iraq published a poster ridiculing the recent drone attack on the residence of Iraqi Prime Minister Al-Kadhimi in Baghdad's Green Zone. The poster depicted what appears to be a radar system announcing it has located an incoming booby-trapped drone. A C-RAM aerial system near the U.S. Embassy was depicted as responding "don't shoot," followed by a winking emoji.
