Syrian Opposition Websites: Iran's IRGC Stores Drones At Deir Al-Zour Military Airport

On May 25, 2022, a Syrian opposition website posted an article which it claims, "reveals, for the first time, information about the large military presence of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) at the former civilian airport which is now part of the military airport at Deir Al-Zour." According to the article, the IRGC has transformed the former civilian airport into several military positions and maintains storage facilities there for drones. The article states that the IRGC disguises its presence at the airport compound by flying Syrian flags and putting up signs bearing the photograph of Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad.
