On October 3, 2021, a Syrian opposition website reported that Iran's IRGC forces have launched a course for Syrian members of Iran-backed militias, which will instruct them in drone operation. The course, held in a rural area in eastern Syria, will be supervised by an Iranian officer and will train 25 Syrian militia members.
