On October 17, 2014, the Syrian Electronic Army's (SEA) official twitter account (@Officia_SEA16) retweeted a user from the Dominican Republic (@5tuxn3t) who was soliciting donations via Bitcoin (he provided the Bitcoin address for donations) to help fund the SEA's Linux distribution. On October 20, 2014, the SEA announced on Twitter that their Linux Distribution, known as Seanux v1.0, would be released on November 1.
