Suspected Al-Qaeda Cell Reported At Pakistan's Karachi University

An Al-Qaeda affiliate, called "Izhaab" or "Ashab," is suspected to be operating from Karachi University, reportedly distributing radical jihadi content there.

The Pakistan government has ordered an investigation, and the Interior Ministry has asked paramilitary and police to probe the circulation of radical material and suspected terrorist activities on the campus.

This is the first time the Interior Ministry has acknowledged the presence of Al-Qaeda elements at the university.
