Saudi Telecom Company (STC) Denies It Was Hit By WannaCry Ransomware

On May 14, 2017, it was reported that Saudi Telecom Company (STC) had denied that its systems had been infected by the WannaCry ransomware virus. The denial came in response to photos distributed on social media claiming to show infected STC computers. The photos showed desktop computers displaying the trademark red window of the virus, with one showing such computers in a large operations room with an STC logo in the background.
