A Somali Telegram channel reported, on February 3, 2018, that a U.S. drone had crashed in the suburbs of Utijli district in Lower Shabele Province in southern Somalia, and that Al-Shabab seized control of it. This is the fourth time that a U.S. drone has crashed in the areas controlled by Al-Shabab.
