Pro-Palestinian Hacktivist Group Targets Israeli Companies In Cyber Attack

September 13, 2022

A hacker group called "GhostSec," which describes itself as a vigilante group launched in 2015 to target Islamic State (ISIS) websites, published a Telegram post on September 4, 2022 with a video showing a hacker successfully accessing an admin panel for programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used by Israeli organizations.[1] The group said the attack was made in retaliation for "continuous attacks from Israel towards Palestinians." The group has previous carried out other cyber attacks against Israeli targets.
