On March 20, 2018, several pro-Islamic State (ISIS) Telegram channels circulated a message from the official Telegram channel of a jihadi hacker group. The message warned supporters that despite the claims of a certain Telegram user, the user is not affiliated with the hacker group, and may try to hack other users' computers. The message, which was distributed in Arabic and English, reads: "We at [group name] warn of the owner of this account who claims to be with [group name]. [Individual username]. We warn our brethren of this person and to avoid contacting him because he tries to hack your computer. We also warn of any person who claims to be from [group name] because our information only comes out of our official [group name] channel."
