On July 2, 2020 Islamic State (ISIS) supporters on Telegram posted a warning that there is a Telegram channel falsely claiming to be affiliated with a pro-ISIS group which is known to provide social media accounts to ISIS supporters for use in media jihad; The warning claimed the fake account is distributing malware to ISIS supporters with the purpose of hacking their accounts. The statement called for supporters to only contact the group through its official accounts on the Conversations and Hoop messaging apps.
